On September 23, our friend and brother in Christ passed into the glory of his Savior. Richard was a native of Ireland, and he spent twenty-two years as a Catholic priest in Trinidad, West Indies, twenty-one years of which he served as parish priest. After a serious accident in 1972, in which he nearly lost his life, he began to study the Bible seriously. After nearly fourteen years of contrasting Catholicism with biblical truth, by God’s grace and conviction of the Holy Spirit, Richard believed on Jesus Christ alone for salvation. In 1985, he formally left the Catholic Church and its priesthood. Richard founded an internet-based evangelistic ministry to Catholics called Berean Beacon (www.BereanBeacon.org).

Berean Beacon continues the ministry Richard began through pursuing evangelism of Catholics and informing evangelical Christians about Catholicism’s departures from biblical Christianity.
