For decades, Erroll Hulse was one of Chapel Library’s best “ambassadors” worldwide. While three years have passed since Erroll Hulse entered the presence of our Lord, we believe it is not too late to rejoice in the continuing fruitfulness of his life, and to pray for a revival of passionate labor for the advance of his Savior’s kingdom worldwide.

Errol Hulse (1931-2017) was a South African by birth and gave much of his life to furthering the cause of the gospel and Reformed doctrine in Africa and around the world. Some of the Chapel Library’s strongest on-going partnerships with pastors and missionaries in Africa and Europe were formed through Erroll’s network of ministry contacts. One of Erroll’s greatest joys was starting the African Pastors’ Conferences to assist native pastors theologically and to see them grow to more than 45 locations annually. By God’s grace, Chapel Library continues to supply African Pastors’ Conferences with literature.

For many years, Erroll edited and wrote extensively for Reformation Today, a continuing international magazine. His pastorates in the UK included Cuckfield, West Sussex; Liverpool; and more than 20 years as associate pastor at Leeds. He also authored numerous books and articles. Erroll studied theology under Principal E. F. Kevan at the London Bible College; and benefited from the ministry of Dr. D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones. More information about Erroll and his on-going ministries can be found at 111.reformation-today.org.
