We are thankful for the prayers made on behalf of the pastoral conference, sponsored by Iglesia Bautista de North Bergen in May of 2015. The Lord poured out multiple blessings upon the North Bergen church, and upon those who participated in the conference. Said blessings included biblical expositions which illuminated the mind and stimulated the will, as well as a sense of fellowship, among the pastors that were present and the members of the North Bergen church. The pastors received the Word of God with rejoicing, and it was patent that they were returning to their ministries refreshed and encouraged.

The North Bergen church will next be sponsoring a family conference, which is to take place from Monday the 10th to Friday the 14th of August.

Pastor Dave Chanski, of Trinity Baptist Church in Montville, New Jersey, plans to encourage Christians to avoid anxiety, trusting in God and seeking His kingdom. We believe that this topic will be especially opportune, in the light of various disquieting happenings throughout the world.

Pastor Noble Vater, very appreciated in the pastoral conferences for his moving biographical sketches, will present the life of Pastor Isaac Backus, who, during the colonial time of the present United States, sought to promote religious liberty. Throughout the week, they two, together with Frank Barker and Pastor Harvey Martinez, will lead various meditations on some biblical truth, concluding with an evangelistic meditation by Pastor Chanski the last night of the conference.

We plan to stream the services of the conferences live in English and in Spanish, with the exception of the final meditation.

Our prayers for this conference are for the fellowship among brethren and churches, for wisdom from on high, for mutual encouragement to love and to good works, for growth in grace and in the knowledge of our dear Savior, and for God to stretch forth His arm of power in the salvation of the unconverted.
