Earthquake Crisis in Haiti

Beloved brethren in Christ: 

Everyone is familiar with the new tragedy that has shaken all the foundations of the Haitian nation through the powerful 7.2 earthquake on August 14 and the abundant rain that the storm Grace has poured to finish sinking the Haitians in the jaws of despair and death. 

For 4 years now, our “Fondation Espérance Pour Haïti” has been working on microcredits throughout that region in the cities of Les Cayes, Port Salut Formon, Torbech, Arniquet, Roche a Bateau, Chantal, Les Anglais, Tiburon, Caprau, Houk, Cavallon and more. All those towns and fields have been severely affected by the earthquake and the storm Grace. 

Our Southern Branch covers more than 2,700 families, most of them believers. Many died and others are injured according to the preliminary reports we have from the census we are taking. All the families lived in very humble houses and most of their homes were turned into rubbles and others were made uninhabitable due to the cracks suffered from the earthquake and its two accompanying 6.2 aftershocks.
