Growing in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ involves growing in the knowledge and practice of His Word. Where the Bible is misunderstood or ignored, Christ is obscured, and the church and the Christian regress. Conversely, where it is diligently studied and observed, there is vitality and an increasing likeness to our Savior. Hence, actively pursuing our Lord through the scriptures is a lifelong endeavor which we cannot safely set aside.
